Le Jardin ( main square)

Notice that there is a Starbucks right downtown across from the square!!!

You can buy a house in this courtyard. they have parking, gym, pool, etc. Cost??? Right downtown San Miguel de allende

John and I had to stop at a Panaderia (bakery). This cost us $2.25

Another hotel/restaurant entrance

All the exteriors of the buildings are maintained as they were doing their period, but the interiors are stores, boutiques, restaurants, offices(dentist,medical,etc...) and hotels

Lots and lots of rooftop gardens. Notice some of the streets are extremely narrow and one way

A nice shot of the historic center of the city from the Institute for Learning

Benito de Juarez park in the center of the city. it has bathrooms, playground, walkways for jogging, fountains, etc...

Restaurant and lounge area

Parade of taxis on 12 Dec/09  - Lady of Guadalupe celebrations

Our favorite place to buy chicken

Lady of Guadalupe (12 Dec/09) celebrations at the church just 1/2 block from our Rv park. We could hear and see the fireworks at night. We listened to the band into the wee hours of the morning and let us not forget the church bells ringing every hour ( and I mean ringing continuously for about 3-5 minutes). It was all the flavour of Mexico.
